Nearly half of all vulvar cancer cases affect women over 70 years old. One of the rarer of the gynecologic cancers, it affects roughly 6,120 women annually, with approximately 1,350 diagnosed cases resulting in death. The average 5-year survival rate is 70.4%. Caucasian women had the highest rate of developing vulvar cancer at 2.8 per 100,00, while Black women had the second highest rate at 1.6 per 100,000.
