Uterine/endometrial cancer is the most common of gynecologic cancers, affecting roughly 65,620 women annually, with approximately 12,590 diagnosed cases resulting in death. The average 5-year survival rate is 81%, but this is not a representative figure for all women. Black women are disproportionately affected by uterine/endometrial cancer: they have only a 62% 5-year survival rate. The rate of new uterine/endometrial cancer cases for Black women in 2017 was 26.9 per 100,000.
